The Spaulding-Labuschagne Neuromodulation Center is staffed by more than 50 people—over half with an MD or PhD terminal degree—who are at the forefront of advancing neurorehabilitation science to treat conditions such as stroke, depression, and chronic pain. Our research in noninvasive neuromodulation is focused on making advances in healing and transformation for anyone seeking a better life.

J. Leon Morales-Quezada Associate Research Director
Physician and scientist, J. Leon Morales-Quezada MD, MSc, is the recipient of the“Aesculapius” medal for his career in the field of neurological rehabilitation, and the Gold Medal Honor from Centro de Reabilitação Nossa Senhora da Glória (Rio de Janeiro, 2007) for his work in pediatric rehabilitation. He has also received the Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award as a fellow in integrative medicine and placebo studies at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Harvard Medical School.
